Synthetic Graphite, or Artificial Graphite is widely used as basic raw material for brake pads producing and manufacturing. It has the characteristics of elasticity, reduced resistance and lubricity, environmental friendliness, absorbability to liquid adhesives, fusion with water, oil and adhesives. Synthetic Graphite mainly acts as a lubricant in semi-metallic friction materials, which can effectively reduce the wear rate by reducing the direct friction between the friction material and the rough peaks on the brake disk surface.
