Nitrile Butadiene Rubber(NBR), also known as Butadiene Acrylonitrile rubber, is a widely used friction material adhesive, with good cold resistance, abrasion resistance, oil resistance, and elasticity. Rubber powder works not only as the binder, but also as an inorganic filler in the friction materials. It can be evenly mixed with resin to create a new adhesive according to different proportions of rubber and resin, and this kind of new adhesive can overcome the brittleness of pure phenolic resin, reduce friction products’ hardness and modulus, and improve impact toughness at the same time.
